We donated a Defib to Pride Gym Wetherby!
This month, as part of our defibrillator donation initiative, we visited Pride Gym in Wetherby to provide their fantastic team with an automated external defibrillator (AED).
While we typically look nationwide for companies and charities to help increase access to defibrillators, we were particularly pleased to support The Pride Gym, a family-run business with a great atmosphere local to Training at Work Group (TAWG).
We’re more than happy to contribute to the safety and well-being of our community at such a valued local gym.
At TAWG, we believe in the importance of staying healthy, which is why recently introduced our staff Health & Wellbeing scheme. To support this, we provide gym memberships and organise various activities to promote active lifestyles, from runs to boat races.
We know that good physical health leads to happier and healthier people, and it’s also vital for maintaining good mental health. Exercise helps reduce stress, improve mood, and overall, makes life better. By promoting fitness, we aim to support our team’s well-being both at work and in their personal lives. We are proud to come full circle in our efforts, contributing to the safety of a place that plays a key role in encouraging a healthy, active lifestyle for so many.
“At The Pride Gym Wetherby, we encourage people to “Hunt Progress’. This means pushing themselves to be better than they were yesterday. Having a defibrillator at the gym, which was donated by TAWG, gives us some peace of mind and allows us to be prepared for any eventuality.”
