Foodbank Donation

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the Training at Work Group team has answered the call of Wetherby Foodbank by collecting over 20 bags of shopping after an urgent plea was posted on social media.

The appeal, which was shared widely across various social media platforms, highlighted the increasing demand for foodbank services and the urgent need for donations.

Recognising the importance of supporting their local community, the TAWG team sprang into action, organising a collection drive among our employees and network.

“We were deeply moved by the foodbank’s urgent request and felt compelled to help. Our team is dedicated to making a positive impact in our community, and this was a perfect opportunity to come together and support those in need.” – Naomi, Managing Director

Employees brought in non-perishable food items, toiletries, and other essential supplies, quickly filling over 20 bags with much-needed donations. The collection drive not only provided vital resources to the foodbank but also fostered a sense of unity and purpose among the team.

“A massive ‘Thank you’ to the Training At Work Group team, who heard that we were desperately low on stock and put together an amazing 163kg which they delivered to our warehouse this afternoon. It’s wonderful to see a local company actively responding to a local need. At a time when low-income households are struggling to afford the essentials, this will have a massive impact on those in our community. We are lucky to live in a prosperous area but that doesn’t mean that everyone that lives here is prosperous.” – Jenny, Wetherby & District Foodbank Co-ordinator
